Why I chose to sell websites — and why I chose it'seeze
I've been sharing a few short videos lately, answering the questions people actually ask me - about my work, about the business, about why any of this looks the way it does - and most importantly, what does it all mean for you.
Here I answer: why I sell websites at all, and why I do it through it'seeze specifically.
Why did I choose to sell websites?
I've worked with small businesses for a long time, in one way or another, and a website is one of the most direct ways to reach people who haven't found you yet. No, it's not the only way, but it really is a crucial one.
But for most business owners, the problem isn't just getting a website, it's making sure it actually does what it needs to do once it exists.
Websites sit really nicely with my background as a copywriter, helping small businesses present themselves in a way that will reach their audience and get them to engage. It's almost too obvious!
Why did I choose it'seeze?
Thinking about the benefits a website can offer and choosing to start an it'seeze franchise are two very different things. There were two significant reasons why I knew this was the right choice for me.
The offering itself - proper, affordable websites, designed for your business. With even our shop sites under £1,000 plus VAT, people are still suprised by what a great solution these are.
But more than that, it's what sits behind that offer. With it'seeze, you'll get me, the person on the end of the phone, the one who comes and talks to you properly about your business before anything gets built. And I'm not doing that alone. Our team in Exeter have been building websites for over twenty years, they know: SEO and email and domains and all the technical detail that isn't my area.
That combination of local and personal on one side, and twenty years of technical depth on the other, is why I chose it'seeze.
How does this work for you?
When you put these two things together, it makes perfect sense. I got into websites because it's where my background as a copywriter could really help small businesses get found and understood. I chose it'seeze because it let me do that properly myself, with a supportive technical team behind me.
That's really what it comes down to for anyone I work with - a website that sounds like you, built and looked after by people who know what they're doing. If that's what you're after, I'd love to talk it through.
