Since joining it’seeze in February, I’ve been meeting lots of new people - making new connections at networking events and on LinkedIn. Part of this is doing that thing we all do: talking about what we do and why we do it. This blog is another opportunity for me to do that - right here on my new website!
So, if - or when - you meet me in person, it’s likely I’ll say… “I do websites.” Simple.

But, not surprisingly, there’s actually much more to it than that.

I've been working on websites for a long time

As a copywriter, I’ve spent years talking to business owners and understanding what they are trying to say. Helping them think about how they connect with the right people, and - perhaps most importantly - what makes someone take that next step to call, to buy, or to suggest a cup of coffee (perhaps even with cake).

Whether it’s:
The florist who needed words on her website but didn’t know what to say
The Health and Safety consultant who wanted blogs to help her stay in front of those who need her
The accountant, whose new offering was to a different audience and worked in a new way she struggled to articulate.
I’ve spent the last nine years working with businesses that needed to be seen, helping them with their communication.

When websites go bad

The thing is, though, for some people it wasn’t just about the words. Even when the words were right, the website itself wasn’t doing what it needed to do.

Sometimes it was hard to update.
Often, it didn’t actually reflect the business anymore.
Occasionally, it just wasn’t doing its job, reaching the people that needed help.

When that happens, people get stuck. I’ve worked with people who didn’t know how to update their website or were forced to pay a developer whenever they needed to make any changes to it. Lots of people I meet tell me they haven’t updated their website in years - and when your website gets neglected, that’s no good for your business.

it’seeze - good websites

I came across it’seeze as a copywriter, writing website copy and blog posts on it’seeze sites that are simple to navigate and straightforward to update. The company isn’t called it’seeze for nothing; the platform has been designed to be easy to use.

A website that’s stale, that’s never updated, isn’t supporting your business effectively. For years, I’ve been telling people how important regular blogging or copy updates are for your website - and here’s a platform that was designed with that in mind.

And on top of that, your it’seeze website comes with a local consultant (me!!), so you’re not on your own. When you’ve forgotten your password, got someone new writing blogs for you, or can’t remember how to change the pictures on your site, just get in touch.

But that’s not it, with it’seeze, you get websites that are:
designed and built for you
fast and secure
easy to manage day to day
and properly supported

The kind of websites that don’t just become another awkward thing on your to-do list (that will never get ticked off).

We’re up to date

So now, that’s what I do.

I still talk to you about your business, who you help, how you do that, and what makes you special. Now I also help you figure out what your website actually needs to do, take you through the process, and make sure you end up with something awesome - that really works - for your business.

What’s most important is you’re not trying to piece the development together on your own. And once it’s live, you’re not left to figure things out either.

I worked with Marianne, who was looking for a website that would be easy to manage and update. Her testimonial says it all, “It’s everything that I needed, and more.”

I do websites…

But I don’t JUST do websites.
I help you work out what your business website needs
And make sure you get it
I give you training on the system so you can keep it updated
I’m there to support you with any questions you have
I can even write the copy for you

If we’ve connected recently and you’ve been thinking about whether or not your website is working for you, I’d love to chat - get in touch.
